Spring 2010 Craft Fair
Saturday 24th April 2010
For a map of the location, click here (page opens in new tab/window).
Come along, say hello, and check out fantastic ranges of fashion, jewellery, accessories, cards, candles, gifts and much more besides.
Those who are already based locally will probably be aware of Duke Street's secret gems. But those who don't often have cause to venture east might find this is as good a reason as any to pop across and make a day of it, being only a short stroll or a couple of stops along from the City Centre.
After checking out the crafty wares you might also want to seek out the Market Gallery on Duke Street or the Wasps Studio on Hanson Street, and see what's on there, too.
Maybe you'll fancy a nibble and a drink at nearby restaurant Tibo, the Tapa bakehouse, Coia's cafe, or Nutmeg deli.
DCT Craft Fair: The perfect excuse for a day out in Dennistoun.
Please pass this info on to anyone else who you think may be interested, and if you would like a copy of any promotional material we produce please let us know.

Community Clean-ups
11am – 1pm on the first Saturday of each month
An Environmental Community Action Team (led by Glasgow Community and Safety Services) arrange a local clean-up on the first Saturday of each month. If you are interested in spending an hour or so to help with this then you are encouraged to meet up at Broompark Gardens at 11am. The Action Team will provide gloves, litter pickers and bin bags. They will also arrange for Land Services to uplift filled rubbish bags.
Should they get a reasonable turn out then I’d suggest they select areas for de-littering across the wider Dennistoun Conservation area, in particular those areas where GCC cleansing services do not service. Examples include:
* Broompark/Clayton gardens
* Oakley/Seton Gardens
* Broompark/Clayton/Oakley/Seton back lanes
* Vacant land at 23 Circus Drive
* Gardens of vacant property at 22 Circus Drive
* Gardens at Annfield Place
* Area around Golfhill Primary School
